PartyPoker Unveils MILLIONS Online KO Edition From May 5

Poker players have lots to celebrate this May as PartyPoker discloses its MILLIONS Online KO Edition. The online edition is slated to begin on May 5th and will conclude on May 31st. This tournament will consist solely of enormous progressive knockout tournaments, which have never occurred before on the platform.

The MILLIONS Online KO Edition is PartyPoker’s top festival. However, it has never fully concentrated on PKO events until this year’s edition. During this festival, poker players will choose from 71 progressive knock-out events that will highlight an array of buy-ins starting from an affordable $109 to a much higher $1050.

The festivities are scheduled to begin with the $200,000 Opener, which will feature a buy-in of $162. The Opener will have 6 flights that will start on May 5th and conclude on May 8th. All participants that make it to the second day of the Opener are guaranteed to go home with a mini cash prize.

After the opener concludes on May 8th, it will pave way for the launch of the first Mini Main Event. The first mini Main will require participants to make a $109 buy-in and will feature a guaranteed prize pool of an impressive $500,000. On the same day, there will also be a much bigger Main Event with a much larger buy-in of $1050.

Players that part with the thousand-dollar buy-in will get a chance to compete with other poker players for a percentage of the $1 million guaranteed prize pool. Participants will exchange their $1050 for 1 million chips. Blinds during this event will begin at 5,000/10,000/1,000a and will increase steadily after every 20 minutes.

The play on all the flights will unfold until 15% of the field is left. Those that make the field will then be allowed to progress onto the next day secure in the knowledge that they will have at least secured a mini prize at the end. Those looking to reap these rewards will have to download the PartyPoker app where they are welcome to take advantage of 2 special welcome bonuses.

When new customers sign up for a new account, they will receive £40 worth of SPINS and tournament tickets, which will be dispersed all through the week. PartyPoker introduced SPINS as its version of jackpot sit & go tournaments. A player’s initial deposit will be matched 100% but players will need to accumulate a specific number of loyalty points before the funds can be released into one’s accounts.

This Millions online tournament has been designed to offer poker players the perfect balance with events starting from as little as $0.01. The last Millions online KO Edition was held in December last year. During last year’s tournament, Ramiro Petrone won the Main Event and walked away with an impressive $859,018.

The First Winner of the Ko Opener Event Already Crowned

After hours of battling each other out, the winner of the Opener event was finally declared recently. Daniel Montagnolli, a Malta-based poker player, triumphed in the opening event to walk away with $28,391. All the players that managed to reach the 9-handed final table walked away with at least $2000 in winnings.

Vinicius Perri De Lima from Brazil put up a good fight for the title. However, he was outsmarted by Malta’s Montagnolli. De Lima unfortunately would have to settle for second place and a total runner-up prize worth $18,110.

Third place in this year’s Opener was earned by Andrei Kotelnikov. Kotelnikov is an experienced player and a former WPTWOC champion. Kotelnikov may have come in at third place but he still went home happy with $13,355 in winnings.

The first KO Main Event took place on May 8th and it attracted 206 players. Out of the 206, only 31 participants made it to day 2 of the festivities. Three of these players earned their seats by taking part in the Mega satellites. The next Main event flight is not scheduled to start until May 15th

Partypoker Players Championship UK ends

Not too long ago this April, Partypoker concluded its introductory Players Championship. The Partypoker Player Championship was the second ever online-live hybrid series to be organized by the brand in Malta. This event included 50 massive events that were held both online and offline.

The online events kicked off on 17th March and lasted through to March 31st on the Partypoker network. The online events featured buy-ins and formats to suit all types of budgets and bankrolls so that participants could take part comfortably. The championship also featured a $200,000 GTD Grand Prix KO with a modest buy-in of $55.

The GTD Grand Prix KO started on the 17th of March and concluded on the 24th. This event was closely followed by the GTD Knockout Championship which started on March 24th and ended on March 28th. The Knockout Championship featured a $320 buy-in and a guaranteed prize of $400,000.

Once the GTD Knockout championship ended, the festivities then headed to the gorgeous Portomaso casino for the full live schedule. The highlight of the live schedule would be the €500,000 GTD PPC Malta Main event. This Main Event required buy-in of €550.

Apart from the Main Event, the live schedule also consisted of several smaller side events. These smaller events consisted of various formats including a Win the Button tournament, the quick and challenging Turbo Bounty, as well as the High Roller event. So where did the hybrid come in?

The hybrid events during this Malta Championship were technically held at the live venue. However, participants were also given the option to choose their best mode of participation- online, offline, or both. This is one of the factors that helped to make this European festival such a success. The online schedule was concluded on April 27th but the online version of the events quickly followed suit 24 hours later.

Final Thoughts

This event will keep unfolding. However, poker lovers still have lots of chances to attempt to become a MILLIONS champions. The first events have already taken place but there are plenty of more opportunities for poker players to participate in the exciting tournaments.
