GGPoker Ambassador Filatov Reaches Super MILLION$ Final Table

Every poker enthusiast has been waiting for the final table of the GGPoker Super MILLION$ and it is finally here. Apart from the date when the action will be taking place, the list of the participants is also available to the public. From the look of things, any of the nine names that made it this far could very well lead the pack.

Indeed, the final table will be a star-studded affair and none of them will let the championship slip out of their hands easily. One name out of the nine particularly stands out; Anatoly Filatov who is the Russian team representative to the GGPoker Super MILLION$. This is not the first time that Filatov has made it to the final round of a Super MILLION$ tournament; he has been on 4 other final poker tables in the past.

A few months ago, on May 30, 2021, Filatov bagged $325,957 courtesy of his win in the Super MILLION$. If he is lucky enough to win the final table of the Super MILLION$, he will pad his bankroll with a boost of $420,536. Each of the nine players in the final round has a chip value of more than a $1 Million but history proves that the order of joining could change by the time the round is concluded.

Live action of the GGPoker final table

It will be interesting to watch the poker action unfold on the final table of the GGPoker Super MILLION$ which has been scheduled to resume on September 7. While all players are definitely going to put up a tough fight, Andorra’s Gerard “Hightroler” Carbo will be a worthy watch.

The poker star clinched the final table slot worth $10,300 through a satellite event with a buy-in of $525. Regardless of his position at the final table, Carbo is guaranteed to make a hefty ROI. Suppose he emerges as the winner of the final table, his initial investment is going to earn him a guaranteed $52,567.

Christopher Frank is also going to be an interesting player to watch because he, like Carbo, made it to the list of the final nine via a satellite event. He bought into a $1,050 satellite event which he won and his target is to at least rank number five in the win order of this last round of the Super MIILION$. If that happens, he would have earned the exact same position he did in June 2021 at a time when the Super MILLION$ was an event in the High Rollers Week calendar.

While he appears to be content with a number five win, it is possible that Frank might do better considering that he is sitting at the final table with close to 71 big blinds. He has at least experienced the action of the final table in the past and lasted through several rounds.

There will be a poker professional who at one point almost won the World Series of Poker bracelet at the GGPoker. The Indian representative, Tarun “AreYouAhead” Goyal, at that time emerged position 5 in the COLOSSUS of $400. At that position, Goyal was awarded $129,337 – this is probably the achievement that earned him the confidence that led him to join his first Super MILLION$ event.

In position number five and six according to the order in which the cards will be pitched are two poker players who need no introduction when it comes to poker achievement. Michael Addamo has already won the Super MILLION$ championship four times in the past while Joakim Andersson is a two-time champion of the same event. This duo of past Super MILLION$ winners can be better described as ridiculously talented poker geniuses.

Although they are at the center of the table of winners, it is going to be a challenge picking one over the other. A bet in favor of either of these two poker professionals is definitely going to be a win as they will be out to defend their prowess.

The seventh place of the final table round is occupied by a Chinese national, Biao “d7777” Ding who is a newcomer to the final table of the GGPoker Super MILLION$. Even before the start of the final round, Ding is already assured that he will be cheered on by a set of 4 GGPoker players – a result of selling 2.5% of his game through the GGPoker’s staking software. With 30.3 big blinds on his starting slate, the Chinese poker player has a chance of finishing in a better position than that which he occupies now.

At position number 8 is Samuel Vousden, a Finnish who has 28 big blinds to his name. This is one of the players on the final table that has a champion flame burning inside him – he just won his first ever WSOP bracelet.

The WSOP win for Vousden is about a week old and is a result of a $1,050 GGMasters Freezeout. His confidence levels are still high and that is the extra punch which he brings to the final GGPoker table. In a similar event that was held on August 29, the Finish emerged second position and $254,559 was added to his wallet.

The last player who will sit at the GGPoker Super MILLION$ final table is Belarusian Dmitry Yurasov who is by no means a newbie to this tournament. The last time sitting at the final table in NJ was in June 2020 when he finished in 8th place. This is the second time that Yurasov will be gracing the GGPoker final table with his presence. This will be an interesting player to watch as the nine battle it out for the GGPoker Super MILLION$ championship because he must be eager to do better.

Final Thoughts

The stage for the final round of the GGPoker championship is set and the lineup of players ready for the final table. All eyes are on Filatov this time and hopefully he will not disappoint.
