Game On: The ARCADE Opening at Harrah’s Atlantic City On Nov. 1

Harrah’s Atlantic City aims to bring more family-friendly entertainment options to their property with the grand opening of The Arcade set for early November. The new 5,328-square-foot entertainment space is designed to provide fast-paced fun for guests of all ages.

According to representatives from Harrah’s parent company, The Arcade is meant to create a high-energy, multisensory experience that will appeal to both children and adults. With over 60 games available, it will offer attractions ranging from classic midway games like Skee-Ball and air hockey to more modern virtual reality and video games.

Harrah’s Atlantic City is operated by Caesars Entertainment, the gambling giant behind Caesars online casino in New Jersey.

A Beacon of Family-Friendly Entertainment

Set to open its doors this November, The Arcade at Harrah’s Atlantic City aims to provide entertainment for guests across generations. In a recent announcement, the resort property representatives shared that the new 5,328 square foot space will be conveniently located near The Pool and operate daily.

Gregg Klein, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Harrah’s Resort Atlantic City, expressed excitement for the attraction’s opening. Klein added that The Arcade will serve as the beacon of family-friendly entertainment on the Boardwalk and across Atlantic City.

Klein stated that the objective behind the creation of The Arcade was to provide enjoyable experiences and lasting memories for all visitors. With its central location and accommodations for individuals of varying gaming interests and skill levels, it promises to deliver on this vision.

Located on Harrah’s main level by Bobby Flay next to Bobby’s Burgers, the brand-new spot houses attractions to engage guests both young and old. From classic midway games to technologically advanced simulators and virtual reality, its selection caters to diverse preferences.

Features Over 60 Large-Scale Arcade Games

The ARCADE at Harrah’s Atlantic City provides guests with a wide selection of over 60 games, featuring popular Jersey Shore favorites such as Skee-ball, air hockey, and other supersized arcade games.

One notable attraction will be a remarkable claw machine named Big One Extreme. In terms of virtual reality, the offerings will encompass a game inspired by the beloved video game series “Rabbids,” which revolves around a fictional species of playful rabbit-like creatures.

In curating the game selection for The Arcade, details were closely attended to ensure options that would appeal to a wide demographic. From the descriptions provided on Harrah’s and Caesars Entertainment’s websites, classics beloved by generations past sit alongside technologically advanced attractions.

Skee-ball and air hockey offer accessible fun for young children. Meanwhile, adults can enjoy full-motion simulators and virtual reality experiences requiring more advanced hand-eye coordination.

Games at The Arcade will utilize a cashless payment system for a convenient experience. Guests can load funds onto a reloadable card using cash or credit. Points are then accumulated on the card as guests play, which can be redeemed for prizes.

Upon entering The Arcade, guests will be immersed in a sensory experience designed for fun. Neon lighting and music aim to set an energetic yet inviting tone. The space’s location near other family amenities like the pool further Harrah’s goal of providing activities for visitors of all ages away from the casino floor.

While the operating hours may be subject to change, the current plan is for The ARCADE to open its doors at 10 in the morning every day. From Sunday to Thursday, the venue will close at 10 PM, while on Fridays and Saturdays, it will remain open until 2 AM.

Immersive Experience for Guests with Virtual Reality

The ARCADE takes the gaming experience to new heights with its immersive virtual reality (VR) offerings. Some of the most popular arcade titles included are Big Buck Hunter, Star Trek Bridge Crew and Angry Birds.

Big Buck Hunter immerses players in a photorealistic hunting simulation, while Star Trek Bridge Crew transports teams into the captain’s chair of a Federation starship. Meanwhile, Angry Birds VR blasts players into the feathered flock’s world.

Part of Caesars Entertainment Upgrades in Atlantic City

The Arcade at Harrah’s Resort AC is set to become the latest addition under parent company Caesars Entertainment’s multi-phase redevelopment of their Atlantic City portfolio. It goes in line with Ceasar Entertainment’s ongoing commitment to providing a comprehensive and engaging entertainment experience for its guests at Harrah’s Atlantic City.

As one of the major casino operators on Jersey shows, Caesars Entertainment has directed over $420 million towards property enhancements since 2020 across its three local resorts – Harrah’s, Caesars, and Tropicana.

At Harrah’s specifically, guests have enjoyed renovated hotel rooms and suites, a revamped casino floor with new slot machines and table games. The updates also include a variety of new dining options by renowned chefs Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri. The Nevada-based gaming giant also operates several online casinos in New Jersey, including Tropicana Online Casino, Borgata Online Casino, and Caesars Casino NJ.

The Arcade concept aligns with attractions Caesars has previously found success with at other locations. Their Las Vegas flagship, Horseshoe Casino, operates a popular 7,000-square-foot arcade and bar entertainment center.

Adding to Atlantic City’s Impressive Family-Friendly Entertainment Scene

Atlantic City is fast-emerging as a thriving hub for arcade enthusiasts and family outings. The renowned Boardwalk proudly hosts the largest arcade in the United States, known as Lucky Snake, situated within the non-gambling Showboat resort. On top of its impressive collection of arcade games, Lucky Snake boasts a spacious 40,000-square-foot indoor go-kart track.

Dave & Buster’s, a well-known restaurant and arcade chain, is also preparing to open a new arcade in the Tanger Outlets shopping center, just a block away from Caesars Atlantic City. The new Dave & Buster’s property will offer 21,900 square feet of arcade and dining space.

The Texas-headquartered operator is already hiring for the Atlantic City location and is expected to welcome its first customers in early December, according to Yahoo News. The newly unveiled The Arcade at Harrah’s Casino will add to the already impressive portfolio of family-friendly attractions and entertainment.

Wrapping Up

The Arcade opening in November continues the momentum of Caesars Entertainment’s ongoing investments, allowing them to engage new demographics and reinforce their presence as a leader in Atlantic City’s revitalization. The opening marks an exciting next step in the parent company’s vision for integrated resort experiences across its diverse portfolio of destinations.
