The XL Winter Series launched on December 10 as a 34 event online poker tournament, with combined guarantees exceeding $1 million. For the winners, it certainly was the perfect way to win some Christmas cash, as well as welcome in the New Year.

The Big XL Series Winners
One of the first things that were noted during the tournament was that players from Belarus dominated. As of Event #9, Belarusians had scored four victories, and nearly a third of the titles.
During Event #4, “Undervit” raked in $30,000 PKO for $5,235.23, and “MarshallMatt” took down Event #5: $15,000 Mini PKO for $2,787.62.
“RakDoll”, an 888poker regular, triumphed in Event #9: $15,000 Late 8-Max for $3,037.50, and “pereleman” claimed victory in Event #10: $50,000 Tune Up for $9,819.41, claiming the largest first-place prize at that time.
