2020 51ST Annual World Series of Poker in Las Vegas

While the pandemic-related casino shutdowns have forced the WSOP to host its popular poker tournaments online, the 51st Annual World Series of Poker is scheduled to take place from Sunday, November 29, 2020, through Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas. Both of these events are No Limit Hold’em, with a $10,000 buy-in.

The winner of the Las Vegas events will go on to play the winner of the International tournament for $1 million in prize money, as well as the coveted gold WSOP bracelet, and the esteemed title of 2020 WSOP Main Event Champion.

There will be daily satellite tournaments on WSOP.com for poker players in Nevada and New Jersey. If any of the final 9 players can not want to travel to Las Vegas for the Main Event, they’ll be given the option of forfeiting their chips for the minimum final table payout.

The final 9 players who do make it to Vegas will be subject toCOVID-19 rules and procedures and be required to undergo a health screening before the live event. Any player who tests positive for Covid-19 will be disqualified and receive the minimum final table payout. Finally, the live, Main Event remains contingent upon the casinos remaining open.
