Things are slowly but surely returning back to a state of normalcy in the world.
The pandemic has caused a lot of disruption around the globe, causing businesses to halt and sectors to falter. It’s reassuring to see that a lot of industries are starting to be allowed to open their doors once again- with extensive training and safety measures, naturally.
Here at NJ Gambling Fun, we’re passionate about gambling, sports betting and gaming, so we’re delighted to see that casinos are starting to open up their doors to customers once again. While some casinos have already been taking hotel reservations – as we covered in this blog post – others have been fully closed for months.
In this blog post, we’ll be taking a look at one important casino in particular- the Hard Rock casino in Atlantic City. We’ll be going over their reopening and what it will mean for the company, and looking at their safety and protection measures as a whole too.
Where are casinos right now in relation to the pandemic?
In regards to the pandemic, it’s been difficult for casinos and gambling companies to operate as normal. In fact, casinos and betting shops were shut nationwide during this pandemic, which placed a lot of businesses in unfamiliar and threatening scenarios. This caused money issues, job losses and a lot of issues with the economy as a whole, too.
The casinos who are involved with online betting and gambling have arguably performed a lot better during the pandemic, as their customers have been able to play from the comfort of their own home. A great example of this is the Hard Rock casino. They have brilliant, live internet slots for customers to enjoy, as we wrote about in this blog post.
It’s worth noting that there are different opening schedules and timings across the country, so some casinos are going to be open at different points in different states. It can be frustrating to keep up with this, but we would recommend checking your local news to keep tabs.
What is Hard Rock AC intending to do on the 4th of July?
Fans of gambling in New Jersey will be over the moon to hear that the Hard Rock AC Casino is dead set on opening back up on the 4th of July. As you’re bound to have seen already, many businesses are planning to open up again soon in line with recent developments in the pandemic rules, and it’s great to see that casinos are following suit in some places too.
As reported here, officials in the company have made their intentions to reopen Hard Rock AC publicly known and are pushing for the deadline quickly. It’s clear that the company wishes to open as quickly as possible to support their staff and entertain their customers- but that they are keeping safety in mind as well too.
Hard Rock AC will feature a number of health and safety features, including plexiglass partitions, deliberate empty seats and social distancing measures. Mask wearing will be enforced as well, to keep everybody safe from the virus.
It’s important to note when looking at this reopening is that staff unions are making it known that over 1,000 employees are rightfully demanding extended healthcare plans. It will be interesting to see how this develops in 2020, as Hard Rock AC has been at the center of both positive stories and negative stories as of late.
All in all, we cannot wait to see things returning to normal in the New Jersey casino scene- and the scene across the country as a whole, too. It’s been a turbulent year, with some great stories so far, and we’re sure to see many more developments as the year moves on.
If you are heading out to a casino when it reopens, do make sure to be safe and responsible. Wear a mask, distance yourself and follow the safety guidelines too. It may not be particularly fun to stick to these rules, but the most important thing to do right now is to consider the safety and well-being of the community as a whole.
